Imagine the bond between a warrior and the dog trained to follow him into places most of us will never see. Trident K9 Warriors takes the future reader from the training ground to the battlefield through former Navy SEAL Mike Ritland’s firsthand account of the elite military working dogs serving alongside America’s special operations forces.

Blending military memoir, military history, nonfiction, and animal stories, this is more than a book about dogs. It explores courage, loyalty, discipline, sacrifice, and the extraordinary relationship between handlers and their K9 partners. The genre makes it an especially strong addition to libraries built around Navy SEALs, military history, working dogs, or inspirational true stories.

This hardcover is a 2013 First Edition, First Printing from St. Martin’s Press, with the complete 10–1 number line. Dust jacket included. Preowned with visible shelf and handling wear as pictured.

Some books are read once and passed along. Others become part of the story of a personal library.

Theft by Finding: Diaries (1977–2002) by David Sedaris has reasons to be both.

For a future reader who already knows Sedaris, these pages offer a different way to encounter his writing. Instead of beginning with polished essays, Theft by Finding reaches back into twenty-five years of diary entries—the observations, conversations, odd jobs, travels, unusual characters, and everyday absurdities that caught his attention along the way.

That combination places the book at the intersection of humor, memoir, diaries, and literary nonfiction.

Readers who come for the humor will find Sedaris's eye for the strange and funny parts of ordinary human behavior. Those who enjoy memoir get something more unusual: rather than looking backward and telling the story of his life all at once, Sedaris allows the years to unfold through entries written along the way. And for anyone interested in writers, journaling, or the development of a creative voice, the diary format offers a fascinating look at the observations that accumulated as Sedaris went from working odd jobs and finding his voice to becoming one of America's best-known humor writers.

There is also something here for the Sedaris collector.

This particular copy is a First Edition, First Printing of the 2017 Little, Brown and Company hardcover. The copyright page states "First Edition: May 2017" and includes the complete number line ending in 1, confirming the first printing.

The dust jacket has wear, so this isn't being presented as a pristine collector-grade copy. Instead, it may be just right for the person who wants something we particularly appreciate: a collectible book that can still be comfortably taken down from the shelf and read.

Read the diaries. Discover the stories behind the storyteller. Then return a genuine first printing to the shelf as part of a growing Sedaris collection—or simply as another worthwhile addition to a well-rounded personal library.

Condition: Pre-owned hardcover in good condition. The book itself remains solid with clean-looking page edges. The dust jacket shows noticeable shelf and handling wear, including creasing and wrinkling, edge and corner wear, small tears/chipping, and a noticeable crease/tear along the lower front portion. The jacket wear should be considered by collectors. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the condition description.
