Starting a Conversation
Click "Contact Seller" on a listing page to open a direct message with the seller about that specific item.
Your Chat Inbox
Access your conversations from My Chats in your account. The inbox shows:
- Conversations grouped by user or by listing
- Unread message indicators
- Preview of the most recent message
Sending Messages
Type your message and hit send. Messages appear immediately in the conversation. Automatic moderation filters out inappropriate content.
Managing Conversations
Delete a conversation from its options menu to remove it from your inbox. To Block, Unblock, or Report a user, open the menu (the vertical-dots icon) next to their name at the top of the chat window.
Tips
- Ask about item condition, dimensions, or details before buying
- Discuss local pickup vs shipping options
- Be respectful -- messages are moderated for the safety of all users
