Every listing needs a package. A USPS Flat Rate box or envelope needs nothing else. Your own box needs its weight and size, each side under 108 inches. Buyers pay for shipping, priced from your ship-from address to theirs.
Pick the packaging
Item Shipping is at the bottom of the Sell form and the edit page. Press a card to pick it.

Each Flat Rate card shows the box's size and what fits in it. Use the box USPS gives you for that name, or the price will not match.
Use other USPS packaging
The menu under Shipping From reads Add other packaging. It holds the rest of what USPS offers:
- USPS Flat Rate envelopes: regular, legal, padded, cardboard, window and small. No weight needed.
- Soft Pack (poly mailer), for clothes in your own mailer. Type the weight.
- Irregular Parcel, for tubes, rolls and odd shapes. Type the weight.
What you pick joins the cards at the top and is chosen.
Measure your own box
Pick Custom Package Dimensions and type the packed weight in pounds and each side in inches. A side of 108 inches or more shows "108 inches max". A blank or zero field shows "Weight needed", "Height needed", "Width needed" or "Depth needed".

Set where it ships from
The Shipping From box shows the address that shipping prices start from. Your listing shows only its city and state.
- Open the address book
Press the pencil on Shipping From. Address Book slides in.
- Pick or add an address
Pick one under Recent Addresses, or type a new one under Add New Address.
With no address on file, the section says Add a Shipping From Address instead. Type your name, start typing the street, pick the match, then press Save address. See Manage Addresses.
Start every listing in the same box
Choose a Default packaging on the Shipping page in your account. New listings start with it picked. See Shipping Settings.
When shipping is Arranged Separately
Some listings show Arranged Separately to buyers instead of a shipping price. Checkout charges nothing for shipping. You ship it your own way and add the tracking number to the sale.
